Joe Cain plays baseball with a lot of grit, determination and drive. This catcher prides himself on his ball blocking ability and not letting any balls get past him. His iron will and rugged athleticism keep him on the field even if he's a little banged up. This was exemplified at one point by catching four consecutive games in nearly 100-degree weather. He approaches the game as a continuous learner always using his drive to propel him to keep perfecting his catching techniques and skills.

His favorite baseball player is Salvador Perez and his favorite team is the Houston Astros.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Joe is an Eagle Scout with troop 494; the highest achievement in rank within the Boy Scouts of America. In addition, he is also Brotherhood rank in Order of the Arrow (an honorary organization within Boy Scouts of America for distinguished boy scouts). Joe currently holds a 3.75 GPA at Valley Center High School and has been honored as a STAR student in the past.
